Calling all life scientists! Come learn about how you can use Mendeley to spend less time searching the literature and more time doing research! We’ll discuss topics such as:

  • What Mendeley is (and what it’s not)
  • Who’s using Mendeley
  • How Mendeley takes the pain out of writing manuscripts
  • Mendeley and intellectual property
  • Mendeley’s role in the future of research

William Gunn, Head of Academic Outreach (and PhD in Biomedical Science) will be conducting this session. There will be plenty of time for questions after and during the session. If this time doesn’t work for you, please check out the session schedule below or see our events page for an event near you.

NB: Unfortunately, GoToMeeting doesn’t work on Linux. We’re very sorry, but we haven’t found a better solution that allows us to accommodate a large number of attendees and supports all platforms. We’re currently looking at WebEx as a possible replacement.

    What's wrong with GotoMeeting?
  • July 5, 2011 at 2:33 pm Mr. Gunn
No Linux support. We're moving to WebEx Event Center, as it looks like it might work for us. We've been looking at a number of options, such as Adobe Connect (it's way too expensive for the number of attendees we have) and finally settled on WebEx as it works on Linux and supports the features we need for a comparable price. Haven't fully tested it yet, though, but pretty sure we'll be able to switch. Can't switch for this one, though, unless everyone already registered wants to re-register, but we do these frequently enough and will put the slides up afterwards. We're not scheduling any more using GoToMeeting.

Are recordings of these provided after the event? Unfortunately most end up ocurring in the middle of the night here in Melbourne, Australia.

+1 for posting recordings of webinars

Good news guys… Audio narration of slides on slideshare now works again, so I’ll get these up as soon as I can.
